Dizziness & unsteady walking · Vilshofen

When walking no longer feels natural.

A walk. A trip to the shops. Things you hardly used to think about. Now they take attention — perhaps courage too.

I'm Tino. Let's talk about what makes you feel unsteady in everyday life.

The little things count

It's about more
than balance.

Perhaps you recognise yourself in one of these moments.

Reaching for the handrail.

You look for support where you once simply kept walking.

The walks get shorter.

You think ahead about whether you feel able to go for a walk or do the shopping today.

Your mind is always on it.

Instead of enjoying your surroundings, you watch every step.

What do you miss most right now?
That's where I'd like to start with you.

Why even standing can be tiring

Standing upright is teamwork.

Your nervous system keeps you upright against gravity. It continuously combines information and adjusts muscle activity — usually without you having to think about it.

Where am I in relation to my surroundings?
The balance organs
How is my head moving and tilting?
Body awareness
How are my joints positioned, and where do I feel contact with the ground?

When automatic control needs more attention.

If these signals or their processing are affected, posture and balance may require more conscious control. Your nervous system needs to devote extra attention to them. That can make even standing or walking feel demanding.

Assess individual functions specifically.

I assess the systems involved as separately as possible from a functional perspective — such as gaze stability, responses to head movements or awareness of body position. This can reveal unusual responses. The systems cannot be completely separated: they always work together.

Person to person

You can start
by telling your story.

Health challenges of my own changed my path — from mechanical engineering to working with people and their nervous systems. I know how much it means to have your concerns taken seriously.

Our first conversation is about you: what do you experience in everyday life? What would you like to be able to do again? And does my way of working actually suit your concerns?

At my practice in Vilshofen, I work with Applied Neurofunction. Together, we explore whether functional assessment and individually adapted training could be useful alongside your medical care.

Your first step

Let's take time
to talk about it.

You don't need to know in advance whether my approach is right for you. We can explore that together.
