Introduction to neuroathletic training – a successful course with BLSV Regensburg

Briefly explained: During a six-hour BLSV training course in Regensburg, I introduced 29 participants to neurocentric training approaches. Fundamentals were followed by practical perception, movement and balance tasks.

Six hours of learning and experimenting together
In October, I had the opportunity to introduce neurocentric training approaches to 29 participants at a BLSV course in Regensburg. A short theoretical introduction was followed by plenty of practical work.
Vision, balance and body perception
We discussed how visual, vestibular and proprioceptive information interact in movement. Tasks involving standing, smooth pursuit and controlled movement were then compared practically.
These tasks show how a person responds under particular conditions. They are not blanket proof of a weakness in the nervous system. What mattered was translating an observation into a sensibly adapted next task.
A modular structure for everyday training
Exercises could be adapted to individual starting conditions. Participants experienced how a starting test can change after a targeted stimulus. An immediate change is initially a short-term response; repeated training and transfer into everyday life remain separate steps.
I was very pleased by the positive feedback and interested questions. Thinking together about how the content can be used in clubs and existing training concepts was particularly valuable.
Thank you to BLSV and all participants
Many thanks for the cooperation, trust and committed participation. Training like this thrives on exchange between professional background and the experience of people who work with groups every day.
