Neuroathletic training in recreational and health sport – BLSV training in Parsberg

Briefly explained: On 15 and 16 November 2025, I had the opportunity to teach neurocentric approaches to around 30 BLSV participants in Parsberg. The focus was understandable fundamentals, practical tests and transferring them into their own training.

Two days with around 30 committed participants
On 15 and 16 November 2025, I visited Gymnasium Parsberg for BLSV professional development. The event by the Upper Palatinate sports district comprised 15 teaching units for licence renewal. The roughly 30 participants included coaches and people working in rehabilitation sport.
A big thank you to Robert Hoidn and Thomas Fink for organising it and for the opportunity to teach the content in this setting.
From fundamentals straight into personal experience
We explored neuroanatomical fundamentals and how vision, balance and body perception interact in movement. Practical comparisons of mobility, stability and coordination made the theoretical content immediately tangible.
Other topics were muscle function tests, nerve mobility, breathing, joint relationships and body-related perception. It mattered to me to make exercise selection and the subsequent re-test understandable, rather than just showing new exercises.
Activation and recovery belong together
Body scans, breath awareness, switching between tension and release, and progressive muscle relaxation also had their place. Training is ultimately not only about activation, but also being able to reduce demands again.
The curious questions and directly noticed differences in practical tasks were particularly rewarding. This feedback showed me that the approach became tangible for participants. What proves useful long term is then decided in their own application.
What I take away from Parsberg
Professional development comes alive when participants try things, ask questions and contribute their own experience. This was palpable on both days. Thank you all for the open exchange and committed participation.
